EN 1364-1 is the mandatory reference standard for verifying the performance of a non-load-bearing vertical separator as such or, as in this case, with a protective system applied. The correct application of the indications given in the standard, on the basis of the tests carried out and the results obtained within a certain range, allows the direct field of application to be extended by means of the instrument indicated in the D.M. of 03.08.2015.

The execution of this test is part of a specific project by Amonn, with the main objective of having as many fire tests as possible for cases involving the renovation of existing buildings, in order to provide the designer with simple, safe and reliable support.

In fact, the test carried out expands even more the possibilities of using AMOTHERM Brick WB in the world of renovation of non-bearing walls of various types such as masonry – concrete blocks face to face, but also of various types of slabs such as predalles spiroll (extruded hollow core floor slabs) and composite brick-concrete slabs.

Benefits/uses

The refurbishment of existing walls by applying intumescent paint in aqueous emulsion is suitable for buildings such as schools, hospitals, libraries, but also for technical rooms and garages. Versatile application by brush or roller, but especially by spray, makes it possible to adapt the type of application to the context of the intervention. The subsequent finishing treatment possible with AMOTHERM Brick TOP WB can be carried out in the desired Ral or NCS colours and makes it possible to improve the aesthetic level of the treatment and, at the same time, to bring it into conformity with food contact regulations (HACCP).

Highlights

Direct application range in height up to 4.2 m and infinite length

Uniform protection consumption on other adjacent solutions, e.g. floors

One product, one consumption, but many solutions: Safety and ease of use
